Socially Responsible Investment Funds in The Stock Market

There are certain criteria that must be met before a company is to be chosen as a company of SRI funds in the stock market. All companies would be required to undergo a selection process to evaluate this.

There are many companies in SRI funds, which are around today, and one of the greatest of these is the Pax World, which was formed in 1971 and was one of the first companies to determine their availability in terms of social and financial criteria . Currently about 175 Pax World funds thereunder, and these are valued at over two billion dollars in total.

Pax World’s SRI funds do not invest in companies that are involved with snuff or firearms, or products that address the gaming industry. They are also involved with the issue of employer-employee relations. Socially responsible investment is not always entirely possible for companies, but we can see from the example of Pax World what companies can do in this regard.
